Our Hernia Doctor
Our hernia surgeon Dr Ng Kheng Hong has more than two decades of experience treating colorectal conditions, including 10 years of laparoscopic hernia repair and hernioplasty experience.
In 2006, Dr Ng was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal College of Surgeon, Edinburgh. He was also a recipient of the Ministry of Health’s Health Manpower Development Plan award, under which he furthered his training in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery. During his tenure at the public sector, Dr Ng was appointed the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Singapore General Hospital.
With his expertise in open hernia repair surgery, Dr Ng is also an active advocate for the use of minimally-invasive techniques like laparoscopic hernia repair, which allows patients to enjoy faster recovery with reduced pain.
Over the past 10 years, using only a few small incisions to treat hernias, Dr Ng has helped numerous patients successfully recover from hernias with this alternative treatment to traditional open surgery.
